"She": a poem by Chinmayi Balusu

A sash wrapped twice around her hips

The crimson blood on top of lips

In her the royalty still to drip

As she sat there hesitant to take a sip

Her heart held together with just a zip

And her thoughts scrambled yet joined with a clip

From her eyes a slip

Of hasty tears that dip

Into the folds of her dress with a full rip

Shattering the silence, her hair is now in a flip

And she leaves you there with only a slight tip
