Girl Up Teen Advisors

Apply to advise the United Nation’s GirlUp program, which empowers women across the world. As a teen advisor, you’ll attend the annual Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington D.C., advise Girl Up on organizational strategy, and gain critical leadership skills.

 

Eligibility: You must be between 9th-12th grade

Requirements: Essays, video submission, recommendation letter

Deadline: February 18, 2019

Kenyon Young Writers Studio

Kenyon Young Writers Studio provides teen writers with a nurturing, inspiring environment in which to hone their craft. Held in a serene campus and run by professionals with experience in the writing industry, the workshop promises two weeks of intense literary study and an exploration of the boundaries of creative writing.

 

Eligibility:

Requirements: essay, transcript, recommendation letter, (optional) financial aid information

Deadline: March 1st, 2019

Clark Scholars Program

The Clark Scholars Program gives gifted, driven students the opportunity to work with distinguished professors in almost every field. The seven-week-long blend of seminars, discussions, and field trips is free  with a $750 stipend, and international students are encouraged to apply.

 

Eligibility: Must be seventeen years old by June 17th, 2019

Requirements: essays, transcript, recommendation letter

Deadline: February 22, 2019

Girl Up Summer Immersion Program

The Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program gives young girls exposure to the industry of computer science through working with professionals, attending workshops, and working towards a final product. The program’s mission is uplifting women in STEM and empowering young women with the technological tools to be the changemakers of the future.

 

Eligibility: must currently be a sophomore or junior

Requirements: essay, transcript

Deadline: Early App-- Feb 15, Regular App-- March 15
