who is eligible?

To apply, you must be:

  • A self-identifying woman of color in grades 9-12

  • Passionate about making political change in your community

  • Committed to attending monthly webinars, contacting your mentor, and supporting the other fellows from Feb - May 2022

  • Determined to complete one political action

  • Have the permission of your parent/guardian

  • Our application is due on January  22, 2022.

  • The most important aspect of the application is your action proposal. While you’re not bound to completing that project, please put some thought into your idea!

  • Finalists will be contacted for a video interview in the end of June.

ideas for political actions

  • Pass a resolution in your school board to stock all restrooms with free menstrual products.

  • Coordinate a voter registration drive at your high school.

  • Develop a letter-writing campaign to your state legislature affirming reproductive rights.

  • Organize a town hall to discuss the status of LGBTQ+ rights.

  • Lead a rally bringing together gun control activists from your area.
